Most of the existing buildings with large quantities and wide coverage use traditional building materials and construction technologies, which have poor thermal insulation performance and low energy utilization efficiency, resulting in high building energy consumption. Therefore, targeted renovation measures are urgently needed to improve the overall quality of existing buildings with the goal of reducing carbon emissions. This paper conducts the energy consumption simulation analysis on the renovation strategies of external envelopes in different locations of actual projects, in order to seek the optimal low-carbon renovation strategy for existing buildings and contribute to achieving the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in the construction industry.
